1. Supplier Relationship Management:
Establish relationships with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and efficient agreements.
Secure efficient execution of purchasing volumes set by central planning.
Source/qualify new suppliers.
2. Logistics and Shipping Coordination:
Establish and develop relationships with freight forwarders and shipping lines to achieve the best value for money shipping deals.
Liaise with field offices to determine procurement needs and appropriate delivery schedules.
3. Order Management and Ownership:
Take ownership of orders from the time the order is requested by planning until orders are cleared and enter the warehouse.
4. Material Knowledge and Quality Assurance:
Understand in detail the different materials and their chemical attributes needed by production.
Develop and implement the process for quality checks at the field and ensure that all items procured meet appropriate quality standards.
5. Market Analysis and Reporting:
Follow major raw material and their precursors price trends and report on a monthly basis on major raw material price trends.
Follow major raw material statistics and benchmark actual purchases with ICIS and feedstock costs.
Prepare reports on market conditions and dynamics of major raw material.
6. Claims Management and Reporting:
Follow up claims with suppliers.
Provide regular status reports to field offices and other customers.
7. Collaboration with Sales Department:
Understand the Sales Department needs to take into consideration when ordering the right material and on-time scheduling
