Are you passionate about jewelry design? We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Jewelry Designer to join our team. They would support and facilitate all aspects related to Product Development and Production Design projects to bring jewelry to life! The position includes creation of final detailed designs for manufacturing models, and maintenance of design specifications and templates, and initial product development.

We are a brand new, forward-thinking jewelry manufacturing startup focused on creating unique and artistic jewelry while delivering value by leveraging technology and data.

What you’ll do:

·         Work closely with members of the design & manufacturing team.

·         Create high quality design models for jewelry items from 2D images using Rhinoceros/Matrix CAD software.

·         Coordinate CAD designs and development of product models

·         Communicate effectively to keep team updated on work status, issues, and concerns.

·         Design within specific costing and stone dimension guidelines to meet target COGS per project.

·         Create, maintain and organize 2-D, 3-D design standards, renderings, specs and templates. Archive appropriately, organize and maintain shared files.

·         Run 3D prints and create finished resin products from CAD models

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor Degree or GIA certified in jewelry design; or comparable work experience

·         3+ years of experience with Rhino/ Gemvision Matrix

·         Deep understanding of Rhino/ Gemvision Matrix software

·         Very high attention to detail

·         In depth knowledge of jewelry manufacturing, CAD design tolerances

·         Extensive knowledge of jewelry construction, component assembly, connection mechanics is a plus

·         Fluent in English & Arabic

·         Highly proficient in Microsoft Office

·         A portfolio proving past experience as a jewelry designer

·         Passionate about jewelry

·         Proficiency in Adobe products is a plus

·         Formal metalsmithing experience is a plus

·         Formal gemstone setting experience is a plus

·         Proficiency in Z-Brush is a plus

·         Proficiency in T-Splines is a plus

·         Proficiency in VRay is a plus

·         Hand sketching abilities is a plus
