Job Description

Chattanooga Engineering Group has an immediate opening for a mid to senior-level Design Engineer. The design engineer will be responsible for the full design and permitting of heavy civil projects.  This includes layout, grading, roadway, stormwater, sewer, water supply, and erosion control designs.

Qualifications

 Ideal candidates should possess the following minimum qualifications:

• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering
• 7+-years experience with residential, commercial and municipal site design
• 2+-years of design project management experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Effective communication skills (written and oral)
• Strong organizational, project, and time management skills
• Ability to think strategically, creatively, and independently
• Ability to take a project from initial concept to delivery of construction documents to construction administration
• Ability to coordinate and collaborate with the design team
• Ability to coordinate permitting with Federal, State and local jurisdictions
