Challenges

• Develop and test low-latency and high-scalability applications, plugins, and APIs for high-traffic fintech websites.
• Troubleshoot applications in the development and deployment stages.
• Conduct code reviews to improve the code quality and build automated unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate with other teams to deploy new products and features.
• Improve the consistency and maintainability of codebases.

  Must have

• 3+ years of experience in back-end development
• Experience in any of the modern programming languages
• Experience with Redis, Nginx, Docker, and Git, as well as knowledge of microservices and  scalable systems
• Ability to create powerful, self-documenting code by utilising test-driven development  (TDD) techniques
• Information security and data protection knowledge
• Fluency in spoken and written English

  Good to have

• Solid experience in Node.js or Perl
• Experience in scalable systems and asynchronous programming
• Experience in open-source RDBMS systems (e.g. PostgreSQL and MySQL) and/or relational database design
• Deep understanding of Linux and other open-source platforms
