A Reputable Company located in Beirut is seeking to recruit a Purchasing Officer.
Main Duties:
- Conduct product research and source new suppliers and vendors.
- Source materials, goods, products, and services and negotiate the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals.
- Perform inventory inspections and reorder supplies and stock as necessary.
- Conduct market research to keep abreast of emerging trends and business opportunities.
- Inspect stock and report any faulty items or inconsistencies immediately.
- Update and maintain records of all orders and receiving stock.
- Coordinate with the delivery team and follow up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled.
- Attend product launches and network with industry professionals.
- Establish professional relationships with clients as well as vendors and suppliers.
- Ensure all stock is packaged appropriately and delivered to the correct location on time.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or any relevant field.
- 4 plus years of experience in a similar position.
- Able to identify market trends and make decisions in a high-stress environment.
- Able to follow client specifications.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Fluent in English.
