Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Senior Cost Controller located in Beirut. The Senior Cost Controller will oversee and manage all aspects of cost control, including but not limited to the below tasks and duties.


- Determines the cost of items based on the price of ingredients.
- Checks the accuracy of data posted on the system.
- Issues the inventory report at the end of each month to check for discrepancies.
- Refers to the system logs to investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Controls transfers between restaurants, and puts restrictions accordingly.
- Compares results to track changes in sales and COGS, and spots anomalies in the reports.
- Generates a monthly report to figure out the discrepancies in food and non-food items.
- Analyzes different reports to provide decision-makers with insights on the performance of restaurants.
- Responds to requests submitted by the operations team regarding stock management, cost control, portioning, and recipes.
- Recommends internal business processes to optimize cost controlling, and takes initiatives to uplift the quality of work and deliver better results.
- Updates Price Change Report to compare current and previous prices, and generates trend analysis based on historical data.
- Ensures that the operations team is complying with standards and approved recipes.
- Updates recipes, adds/removes ingredients, and adjusts the prices.
- Reports changes in the food cost and recommends a new price.


Qualifications

Proven experience in cost control, and financial analysis.
Ability to analyze complex cost data and identify trends and variances
Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
Minimum 2 years of experience in cost control
Having analytical skills in quantitative analysis
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
