Mets Energy is in search of a driven and experienced Senior Storekeeper to oversee and coordinate our daily warehouse operations for motor generators. This key role involves managing inventory, coordinating shipments and receipts, supervising personnel, and ensuring the smooth functioning of daily operations.
Responsibilities:
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and database for motor generators. Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
• Logistics Coordination: Coordinate the movement of motor generators within the warehouse, ensuring efficient storage and timely shipment of finished products.
• Shipping Planning: Develop and execute daily shipping plans to meet customer demands and deadlines.
• Material Handling: Supervise manual handling, repacking, or restacking of motor generator pallets as needed to optimize space and ensure product integrity.
• Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of all warehouse activities, including forms, reports, and shipment records.
• Personnel Management: Lead and motivate a small team of warehouse workers, providing guidance and support to ensure productivity and adherence to company standards.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant warehouse policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional education or certification in logistics or warehouse management is advantageous.
• Minimum of two years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably within a similar industry such as manufacturing or electrical equipment.
• Product Knowledge: Basic understanding of motor generators or willingness to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities and sound judgment in managing inventory and making operational decisions.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with a structured mindset to effectively manage warehouse operations and personnel.
