Chief Accountant



We are currently seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to join one of our clients. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the accounting and financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning.



Responsibilities:



Accounting:
Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
Manage the entire accounting cycle, from recording daily transactions to preparing accurate and comprehensive financial statements.
Conduct regular internal audits to verify the integrity of financial information and adherence to company policies.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights for decision-making and business planning.
Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and ensure the company's accounting practices remain current and compliant.


VAT and Tax Compliance:
Manage the preparation and filing of VAT returns, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely submission of all tax-related documents.


Payroll and Benefits:
Oversee payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely disbursement of salaries.
Manage employee benefits programs and compliance with relevant labor laws.


Analytical Accounting:
Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis and trend identification.
Provide regular reports and insights to aid senior management in strategic decision-making.
Develop and implement forecasting models to project financial performance.


Financial Management:
Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
Conduct regular financial reviews and present recommendations for cost-saving measures and process improvements.
Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles.

• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial regulations.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
