Job Description:

We are currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Draftsman / Shop Drawing Specialist to join our team. The Draftsman / Shop Drawing Specialist will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed shop drawings for construction projects, as well as collaborating with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure design specifications are met. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 2 years of experience in drafting and a strong understanding of construction processes.

Responsibilities:

* Create detailed shop drawings and construction plans based on project specifications and requirements.
* Review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
* Collaborate with project teams to understand design intent and address any discrepancies or conflicts.
* Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to incorporate their input and feedback into drawings.
* Revise and update drawings as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
* Assist in resolving design-related issues and providing technical support to project teams.
* Maintain organized files and documentation of all drawings and revisions.
* Stay up-to-date on industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies in drafting and design.

Requirements:

* Associate's degree or technical certificate in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field.
* 1 to 2 years of experience in drafting, preferably in a construction or architectural firm.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
