Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and organized Assistant Store Manager to join our team at [Sleep Comfort]. Responsibilities:

Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash management, and customer service.
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained on the showroom floor.
Conduct regular stock balancing exercises to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate inventory records.
Work closely with the sales team to identify missing items in the showroom and promptly place orders to replenish stock.
Monitor product performance and sales trends to inform ordering decisions and optimize inventory levels.
Assist in the implementation of merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and maximize sales.
Train and motivate showroom staff to uphold high standards of customer service and product knowledge.
Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
Support the Store Manager in managing staffing schedules, including assigning duties and managing employee performance.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times.
Assist in conducting regular inventory audits to maintain accurate stock records and prevent shrinkage.
Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability.
Provide input and feedback on store performance, customer preferences, and market trends to support business decision-making.
Undertake any other duties or projects as assigned by the Store Manager or management team.
Qualifications:

Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in a supervisory or assistant management role.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficient in inventory management and stock control procedures.
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
