Position Overview:
Mets Energy Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Generators Division. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the design, development, and maintenance of generators, demonstrating proficiency in mechanical engineering principles and practices. This role will involve leading projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our generator systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development: Lead the design and development of generator systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company specifications.
Performance Optimization: Implement strategies to optimize the performance and efficiency of generator systems through innovative design solutions and engineering analysis.
Testing and Validation: Plan and oversee testing procedures to validate the performance and reliability of generator components and systems, interpreting test data and implementing improvements as necessary.
Project Management: Manage projects from conception to completion, including resource allocation, scheduling, and budget management, to ensure timely and successful delivery.
Technical Support: Provide technical support to internal teams and external partners, offering expertise in generator technology and troubleshooting complex issues.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation within the Generators Division, driving initiatives to enhance product quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to generator design, performance, and safety.
Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive documentation, reports, and presentations detailing project progress, findings, and recommendations for stakeholders and management.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering roles, with a focus on generators or rotating machinery.
Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and engineering analysis tools.
Experience with generator design, development, and testing processes, including familiarity with electromagnetic principles and power generation systems.
Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver results on schedule and within budget.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as IEEE, ASME, and ISO, pertaining to generator design and performance.
