Barmaid / Barista

Role Purpose:



The Bartender/Barista is responsible for preparing and selling a variety of beverages and selling food where applicable.



Key Responsibilities:



Perform duties related to daily operations as per the standards set by the brand, related to product order requisition, setting up the products and equipment needed for service and performing opening and closing duties/checklists for his section (the bar area).
Mix beverages using an extensive range of beverage ingredients including liquor, bitters, soda, water, sugar, and fruits as per the created set recipes of the brand.
Ensure orderliness, tidiness and smooth operation, report to the manager/in charge of the outlet, any discrepancies detected with respects to procedures, quality or standards.
Respond to customer inquiries, complaints and incidents in a positive manner and guarantee guest satisfaction through a high-quality service.
Place orders for needed items by liaising directly or indirectly with the supplier / storekeeper depending on the products specifications and as per the set guidelines by the restaurant/company.
Complete on daily/weekly basis the inventory of the bar items (consumption), utensils including wastage/breakage record and report it to the manager.
Plan bar menus and create unique drinks and arrange for the tasting panel to the management for approval.
Assess customer preferences and making drink recommendations, and providing a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting with patrons.
Keep a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories used at the bar area.
Collect money for drinks served (when applicable) and providing change as needed and balancing cash receipts.
Clean the bar, tables, chairs, and work area to maintain a sanitary environment at all times, and organizing the bar area to streamline drink preparation and its inventory.
Place orders for liquor, beer, wine, soft drinks, juices, coffee beans, and other supplies with the coordination of the manager and storekeeper Comply with all food and beverage regulations.


Qualifications:



Technical Degree in Food and Beverage or Hospitality Management or equivalent.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in F&B operations restaurants, out of which 1 year in a similar role.
Knowledge of different specialty drink items preparation Fluency in English, French is a plus
