We are an investment advisory firm with offices in Istanbul and Beirut, with a London office expected to open in April 2025. Our focus is investing in listed equities and fixed income in Global Frontier Markets and Smaller Emerging Markets, and also listed equities linked to commodities in such markets. In addition, we advise family offices on investment strategy and allocation. The company was founded in 2009 by two partners who have over 60 years of cumulative experience in finance, much of it with international financial institutions. The team consists of five investment professionals who have worked together for over 8 years, and one operations manager.
The candidate will undertake fundamental macro-economic and company analysis and should have passion for investing. The job, at a certain stage, will require travelling to visit the companies in our coverage area (South America, Africa, Eastern Europe, MENA and Asia). There will be significant on the job training given by the senior members of the team.
Desired Skills and Experience:
• 1-3+ years of experience in equity research, corporate finance or management consultancy desirable
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills
• Good strategic and creative thinking skills
• Understanding of macro-economic and political environment
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• A high degree of self-motivation
