Job Purpose:
The Lead Teacher helps nurture and develop the knowledge, abilities and social skills of children between the ages of 2 months - 4 years and prepares them for kindergarten and primary school education.

Key Responsibilities:
• Developing and implementing lessons/work schemes adhering to the KEY system
• Providing a safe and stimulating environment that facilitates learning
• Organizing and supervising play and work activities (for example reading, cooking, music, dancing etc.)
• Liaising with parents/care givers and professionals (if need be) such as counselors, speech therapists and health visitors
• Develop a positive relationship with each child and promote the development of self- esteem and self-discipline
• Observe each child daily to assess skills, interests, and needs and use this information to facilitate learning and growth
• Establish a positive relationship with each child’s family and share information about the child’s day at the nursery
• Participate in staff meetings, nursery activities, events, and professional development sessions

Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Educational Psychology, Child Psychology or kindergarten Teaching Degree
