Liban Lait is the name of the largest dairy farm in Lebanon, founded in 1997. Liban Lait produces and distributes dairy products in Lebanon. It has a franchise agreement with Candia, the leading producers of UHT milk in France, allowing it to manufacture and distribute products under the Candia brand name.
Liban Lait is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor. This role will be responsible for overseeing the for overseeing the maintenance and repair of the company’s fleet of vehicles to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance. This role includes managing preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, supervising the maintenance team, and ensuring efficient operations of the fleet in a distribution company.
Key Responsibilities:
o Lead, train, and manage the fleet maintenance team, ensuring high performance and adherence to company standards.
o Assign daily tasks and monitor team performance to ensure timely and efficient completion of maintenance activities.
o Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all vehicles in the fleet to minimize downtime.
o Oversee and coordinate the repair of vehicles, including mechanical, electrical, and bodywork issues.
o Troubleshoot vehicle issues and ensure all repairs are completed to the highest standard and within a reasonable timeframe.
o Ensure all fleet maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and transportation industry standards.
o Promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team and conduct regular safety training.
o Monitor and ensure fleet compliance with licensing, registration, and insurance requirements.
o Maintain an inventory of critical spare parts and ensure availability for emergency repairs.
o Monitor and control maintenance costs by optimizing the use of resources and managing procurement of parts.
o Track and manage fuel consumption and vehicle efficiency.
o Maintain accurate records of fleet maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and inventory usage.
o Prepare and present reports on fleet performance, downtime, and cost analysis to management.
o Ensure all maintenance logs are up-to-date and accessible for audit purposes.
o Collaborate with the distribution team to ensure vehicle availability aligns with delivery schedules.
o Provide feedback to the operations team on fleet conditions and recommend replacements or upgrades when necessary.
Qualifications:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in the distribution or logistics industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in fleet operations.
• Certifications in vehicle maintenance or fleet management are a plus.
