Job Overview:
As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring that all goods are properly received, stored, and distributed in an efficient and organized manner. You will work closely with the kitchen and restaurant teams to ensure that inventory levels are maintained, and that all products meet quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse management, food service, and supply chain logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing food and non-food items for the central kitchen and restaurants.
•Ensure proper storage practices are followed to maintain food safety and quality standards, including temperature control and organization.
• Manage inventory levels, ensuring stock is rotated according to FIFO (first in, first out) and that all products are readily available to meet operational needs.
• Collaborate with purchasing and supply chain teams to order products, track deliveries, and resolve any discrepancies in shipments or invoices.
• Lead and supervise warehouse staff, ensuring they are trained in proper warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and food handling standards.
• Perform regular inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate stock records and prevent product shortages or excess stock.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
• Manage and optimize warehouse layout for efficient storage and quick access to products.
• Assist in the planning and execution of any stock transfers between locations, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Prepare and present regular reports on inventory levels, stock turnover, and warehouse performance to senior management.
• Address and resolve any operational issues, such as damaged goods or inventory discrepancies, in a timely and effective manner.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager, Logistics Manager, or similar role, ideally in the food service or restaurant industry.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and supply chain best practices.
• Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards, including knowledge of temperature-controlled storage.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage a team and coordinate multiple tasks.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and warehouse management software.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain one is a plus
