Job Summary:
The Cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. This role plays a key part in ensuring a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
* Greet customers warmly and respond to inquiries.
* Operate cash registers, scanners, and other point-of-sale (POS) equipment.
* Process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately.
* Issue receipts, refunds, and change as required.
* Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas.
* Assist with bagging purchases and keeping checkout stations stocked.
* Follow all store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards, and loyalty programs.
* Handle customer complaints or refer them to management.
* Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
* Assist with stocking shelves or organizing merchandise when needed.

Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
* Previous cashier or retail experience (a plus, but not always required).
* Basic math skills and attention to detail.
