We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. As a Commis Chef, you will support the chef in food preparation, ensuring high standards of hygiene and assisting in the delivery of consistently high-quality dishes. This is an ideal role for someone eager to learn and grow in a professional kitchen environment.
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items under the supervision of the chef de Partie
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
- Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items.
- Prepare daily Mis- en–Place required for food preparation.
- Assist in the receiving and proper storage of food items.
- Ensure all food items are prepared and presented to organizational standards.
- Follow health and safety regulations and kitchen procedures.
- Learn and apply food preparation techniques.
- Contribute to minimizing food waste / coordinate and participate with other sections for special requirements, cleanliness, wastage and cost control.
- Carry out basic cooking tasks as directed by the Chef de Partie.
