7. POSITION PURPOSE The main purpose of this position is to prepare, review, supervise and post journal entries.

In addition to the maintenance, processing and analysis of accounting records in a manner consistent with the company policies and procedures and in accordance with the Lebanese authorities requirements.

8. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES A.

Responsible to perform the following duties:

a. Ensures that all accounting records are maintained in compliance with the Lebanese GAAP and with internal policies and procedures.

b. Ensures that all cash payments are approved as per petty cash policy. Funds/refunds approved cash payments from the petty cash account. Ensures that all invoices related to the Petty Cash are validated against actual payment and are accounted for.

c. Ensures reconciliation of cash with GL or Cash Book in the company’s accounting system.

d. Ensures/supervises the invoices’ booking of all received materials/services on the company’s accounting system in a timely and accurate manner.

e. Prepares and reviews payments by reconciling the suppliers’ accounts and booking the payments on the accounting system in a timely manner.

f. Checks, allocates and books laborers time sheet records.

g. Books general accounting entries on the accounting software.

h. Ensures all liabilities and payroll payments are processed for payments in a timely manner and as advised by the CFO.

i. Ensures that weekly/monthly ban reconciliations are completed.

j. Follows up with the warehouse responsible and enters related inventories on system.

k. Maintains an orderly accounting filing system with respect to the account payables, journal entries, receipts vouchers, bank statements and reconciliations.

l. Maintains and files accounting records, backups and supporting documents in a secure and appropriate environment.

m. Remains up to date on current accounting and financial auditing standards and associated legislations and laws.

n. Promotes goodwill by being courteous, friendly and helpful to guests and colleagues.

o. Abides by company laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

B. Responsible to comply with the applicable Health and Safety procedures, and requirements provided during trainings and as listed in the OHS manual; reporting occurrences, violations and acts that may affect staff safety.

C. Performs other tasks and activities as requested.

9. QUALIFICATIONS A. EDUCATION:

BA degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent.

CPA/CMA is a plus B. EXPERIENCE: 3 years of experience as an accountant.
