Operations Coordinator

Lebanon - Beirut

POSITION CONTEXT & OBJECTIVES:

To perform operations coordinator duties within our organization. The operations coordinator’s responsibilities include planning capacity and analyzing productivity with the aim of improving performance. 

Work Location: the Democratic Republic of the Congo

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Plan and organize the work schedule of the team in terms of materials and Labor. 
  • Allocate the resources in an efficient manner by assigning the machines and the laborers for each job. 
  • Assist in planning purchases by preparing the bill of materials (BOM) for each job according to the inspection report.
  • Supervise the work progress and update the planning schedule accordingly. 
  • Follow up closely on the team performance and raise immediately any work deviation that can affect the planning. 
  • Set process KPIs to analyze planned versus actual.
  • Review processes to ensure that all aspects of the workflow are operating as efficiently as possible.
  • Ensure that all relevant safety measures and any specific practice guidelines are adhered to by all concerned parties.
  • Submit daily reports to the operations manager or when needed. 
  • Assist with the management of daily operational activities.
  • Assist with the operations manager by developing departments, enhancing processes, and resolving issues.
  • Perform any other tasks as per the manager's request.

 

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

  • University degree in Industrial engineering or related field.
  • + 3 years experience working in a machine shop.
  • Competency in the use of ERP systems. QuickBooks is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Understanding of underlying principles of the position, the procedures, and technical processes involved in the work.
  • Fluency in English and French languages.

WORKPLACE AND HOURS OF DUTY:

  • Monday to Friday: 7h:30 till 17h:00 / Saturday: 7h:30 till 15h:00.
  • Employee should be available beyond working hours whenever needed.
  • At Auto Lubumbashi Hydraulics premises in Lubumbashi, DRC.
  • The responsibilities & duties detailed above are not intended to be exhaustive. It can be amended any time according to business needs. The Surveying engineer is welcome to make suggestions to expand the scope of her/his duties and improve the effectiveness of his position.
