Job Overview
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll lead the design, optimization and maintenance of crucial mechanical systems in a food production setting. With 7+ years of experience, you'll oversee projects, ensure regulatory compliance and drive continuous improvement. Your focus on hygienic design, sustainability, and quality will contribute to the overall efficiency and reliability of the production process. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, mentoring, and a commitment to innovation are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities
• Design, modify, and optimize mechanical equipment used in food production processes
• Oversee the maintenance of mechanical equipment to ensure continuous and efficient operation
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and production interruptions
• Implement changes to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
• Ensure that all mechanical systems and components meet or exceed food safety and quality standards
• Prepare regular reports on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and improvements
• Provide guidance and training to production and maintenance staff

Qualifications
• Bachelor's/Master's in Mechanical Engineering
• 7+ years of experience in a similar role
Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing industry is highly desirable
• Proficient in CAD and engineering tools
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Project management experience, delivering projects on time and within budget
