A leading retail company in Jounieh is looking for a Chief Accountant with 5 years min. experience :
- Oversee the preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements;
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and safeguarding of company assets;
- Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and addressing any audit findings;
- Manage the company’s tax planning and compliance activities, including the preparation of tax returns and ensuring timely payments;
- Supervise the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions;
- Develop and maintain the company’s accounting policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and in line with current regulations and best practices;
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making;
- Oversee the accounting for complex transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, ensuring they are accurately recorded and reported
