DESCRIPTION:
Duties & Responsibilities for the Finance Officer Position:

1. Support the Finance Manager with projects' financial operations and tasks when required.
2. Participate in the development of budget proposals.
3. Maintain and develop the monthly internal financial reports of all ongoing projects.
4. Assist in the development and preparation of donor's financial reports
5. Contribute to donors' spotcheck/ verification visits or audits
6. Review of monthly project's accounts, maintain records and ensure financial records of all projects are kept up-to-date with the latest transactions and changes
7. Assist the periodic financial analysis to detect and resolve problems
8. Maintain the salaries and operational costs trackers on monthly basis

10. Assemble and summarize data into reports that are easy to read and review.
11. Analyze financial data such as budget vs actual spend by program
12. Reconcile bank accounts and track specific supplier's payments
13. Ensure the correct budget is posted in the accounting system
14. Prepares internal financial reports and reports to internal parties and supervisor
15. Executes periodic donor reports
16. Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
17. Assist in reviewing partners' financial reports and reconciliation of grant agreements with payments and reports submitted
18. Participate in and support the weekly finance team meetings with the entire team members and area coordinators to improve productivity and evaluate how accounting procedures are implemented.
19. Ensure confidentiality of financial information and plans.
20. Other duties as assigned by supervisor



Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or relevant field. Certification in the finance field is a must (CPA, CMA, CFA, IFRS ... etc)
2. A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role. NGO experience is a plus
3. Experience in creating financial statements.
4. Experience using financial software
5. Advanced Google sheets & MS Excel skills
6. In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes
7. Outstanding analytical and time management skills
8. Strong attention to details
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Comprehensive knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures with accounting, financial controls and financial information systems;
