As a strong communicator and skilled Chief Accountant, your mission is to streamline our

budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes, to produce thorough financial-status

reports for senior management to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our

continued growth.


Objectives of this Role


Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management by evaluating, analyzing,

and reporting appropriate data points

Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current

economic landscape

Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines

Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective action

Maximize payroll efficiency through innovative process development

Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies


Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance

with PAC appropriate standards and regulatory requirements as well as the requirements

of DTF suppliers contracts

Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs and both team and

organizational budgets and actual expenditures

In conjunction with the Managing Director, establish financial and operating benchmarks,

budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a bi-weekly, monthly, and annual

basis

Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs,

upholding local legal standards by remaining knowledgeable about existing, new, and

future legislation

Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies,

procedures, and workflow

Oversee and support DTF team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of

trust and productivity


Reconcile and prepare and analyze the general accounting functions, including, but not

limited to:

Accounting transactions, transfers

Accounts payable, accounts receivable

General ledger, and taxes

Cash receipts, control petty cash

Ensure accurate procedures are being met regarding cash, credit card and check

processing

Timely bank payments

Payroll and utilities

Monthly, quarterly and annual closings

Debt activity

Personal account statement reconciliations, check runs on personal bank

accounts, personal expenditures

Quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate

financial controls audit

Accounting/bookkeeping and processing expense reports

Budgeting, cash forecasting

Revenue and expenditure variance analysis

Balance sheets and profit/loss statements

Expenses submitted by employeesMonthly Sales reports for the brands, Price

comparisons, SOH reports, Sales persons ranking performance reports, Open to buy

reports

Prepare and approve commission and incentive rewards to the sales team, assist the

Senior Accountant with the monthly Payroll

Communicate with the retail sales teams on performance management and monitor the

sales performance of agreed promotional activities and recommend corrective action

where necessary to achieve set targets

Conduct weekly sales meetings with the ARM discussing the shop Actual sales vs.

Monthly sales targets

Oversee and ensure compliance of all staff with established company policies Coordinate

with the ARM about slow moving / obsolete stock and ways of liquidate

Communicate with the retail sales teams on performance management

Processing travel related expense reports

Organizing efficient filing systems and keeping adequate records

Skills

Furthermore, another primary role is to perform a variety of administrative tasks, to support

DTF’s management and to advise executives on vital decisions that could directly

contribute to the success of the company.

To ensure success, you need to be intuitive to the needs of the management and work

autonomously to provide customized administrative support in a timely manner on a

variety of tasks -providing assistance in daily operations and helping to coordinate other

important activities related to the Managing Director (MD) as well as the Assistant Retail

Manager (ARM).

You will need to be extremely proactive by optimizing operations and auditing systems for

inefficiencies—finding opportunities for improvement without being asked. Also, to be

versatile and highly-organized and exhibit excellent organizational skills.

There is also a fair bit of research and writing involved -as you might need to dig into the

statistics and performance of a company to compile reports that will ultimately help shape

company policy. This gives the the management a bird’s eye view of the company and

puts them in a good position to help executives make strategic decisions. You will be also

assist the Managing Director in negotiations in the best interest of DTF with suppliers

regarding price, terms, deliveries, freight, insurance, quality, special discounts, quick

payment discounts, extended credit and general marketing strategy


Communicating regularly is a must as well as collaborating with practically every member

of the organization from the sales staff, the HR / Accounting / Logistics team at PAC as

well as the management as they are often required to oversee and implement internal

projects.
