Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured by the company meet or exceed customer expectations. The Quality Assurance Coordinator will assist in developing and implementing quality assurance programs, conduct audits, and oversee the development and implementation of corrective action plans. S/he will also be responsible for maintaining quality records and conducting trend analysis to identify opportunities for improvement. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in quality assurance, auditing, and corrective action planning. He or she will also be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
The primary role of quality assurance in food processing is to ensure all aspects of quality – portion size, product characteristics, customer expectations, value for money – meet the various internal and external standards and regulations. Quality assurance coordinators may be involved with every step of the production process—from design to development to fabrication. Their job is to ensure that each stage meets quality standards and identify any issues that arise along the way.
Job Duties
• Ensuring that all products meet company specifications and regulatory requirements such as safety standards and environmental regulations
• Participating in design reviews of new products or processes to ensure compliance with applicable standards or regulations
• Maintaining records of all product defects, complaints, and other issues that could affect product quality
• Establishing guidelines for testing materials to ensure they meet quality standards
• Conducting regular audits of production facilities to identify potential issues with employee safety practices or environmental concerns
• Recommending corrective action plans to address issues identified during audits
• Coordinating with Quality assurance manager and chefs to ensure that new products meet requirements
• Managing quality control of products through all stages of production to ensure that they meet standards” specifications
• Identifying opportunities for improvement in production methods and recommending changes in equipment, materials, or processes

Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and expertise in the development and maintenance of an effective quality assurance model for online courses.
- Produce regular quality assurance reports for internal distribution
- Assist in the training of workers in quality assurance tasks
- Develop and maintain positive, collaborative, respect-based relationships with co-workers, clients, and stakeholders within and outside of the company.
- Flexibility in adapting to a fast-changing environment to meet the needs of the department and the priorities of the company. Work with manager to periodically review, update and modify job description as needed.
- Work with manager to develop a professional development plan with annual goals to accomplish the plan. Actively pursue excellence, effectiveness, and efficiency.
- Identify emerging trends that add value to the work, incorporate them or recommend improvements, and strive to ensure that Cat and Mouth’s practices are current.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all quality assurance issues, concerns, and questions
- Work with various teams to ensure that products meet or exceed customer expectations and requirements
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures
- Monitor compliance with quality standards
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints
- Conduct audits of materials, processes, and finished products
- Prepare and present reports on quality assurance activities
- Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend corrective actions
- Train new employees on quality assurance procedures
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality management systems
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices
- Perform other duties as assigned


Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in business, quality assurance, or related field
• 2-3 years professional experience in quality assurance or a related field
• Working knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 22000 AND FSSC, etc.)
