Job Details

Project Planning & Initiation
• Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, schedule (CPM/Gantt), budget, resource allocation, and risk registers.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documents prior to project commencement.
• Establish project governance frameworks, communication plans, and reporting structures.
• Coordinate pre-construction surveys, site investigations, and permit acquisition processes.
Construction Execution & Site Management
• Direct day-to-day field operations, supervising site engineers, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure work proceeds per approved plans.
• Monitor construction progress against milestones; proactively identify and resolve schedule deviations.
• Manage procurement of materials and equipment in coordination with the supply chain team.
• Conduct regular site inspections and technical reviews to verify compliance with design and specifications.
Commercial & Contract Management
• Administer project contracts (FIDIC, NEC, or bespoke) including variation orders, claims, and dispute resolution.
• Prepare and submit monthly progress claims, cost reports, and forecasts (EAC/ETC).
• Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier agreements in accordance with company policies.
• Identify scope changes and process variation orders in a timely manner to protect project margins.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
• Ensure all activities comply with the company's Quality Management System (QMS) and applicable codes (ACI, ASTM, BS, EN, local standards).
• Champion a zero-incident safety culture; enforce HSE policies, conduct toolbox talks, and investigate incidents.
• Maintain all project documentation including RFIs, submittals, NCRs, and inspection test plans (ITPs).
• Liaise with third-party inspectors, client engineers, and regulatory authorities during audits and sign-offs.
Stakeholder & Client Relations
• Act as the single point of contact for the client; chair progress meetings and issue formal minutes of meeting (MOM).
• Manage expectations proactively and resolve disputes or escalations in a professional manner.
• Prepare executive-level status reports and present project performance dashboards to senior management.
Project Closeout
• Oversee commissioning, testing, and handover activities, ensuring all snag items are resolved.
• Compile and submit as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, and close-out documentation packages.
• Facilitate lessons-learned reviews and update company best practices accordingly.

3. Qualifications & Education
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (required).
• Master's degree in Project Management, Structural Engineering, or equivalent (preferred).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent chartered status is a strong advantage.
• PMP (PMI) or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.

4. Experience
• 8–12 years of progressive experience in civil construction, with a minimum of 4 years in a project management capacity.
• Demonstrated track record of managing projects valued at USD 10M+ from inception to handover.
• Hands-on experience across at least two of the following sectors: roads & highways, infrastructure utilities, commercial buildings, bridges, earthworks, or marine structures.
• Experience working under FIDIC Red or Yellow Book contracts is essential.
• Prior experience managing multi-disciplinary teams including MEP, structural, and civil subcontractors
