Job Summary
The MEP BIM Manager is responsible for leading and managing
the implementation, coordination, and development of Building Information
Modeling (BIM) processes for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP)
disciplines. The role ensures the delivery of high-quality BIM models,
compliance with project requirements and BIM standards, and effective
coordination among internal teams, consultants, contractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the BIM
team by assigning tasks, guiding performance, and ensuring efficient
collaboration across disciplines.
- Coordinate with internal
teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless information exchange and
alignment of BIM deliverables with project requirements.
Technical Responsibilities
- Oversee the development of accurate MEP 3D models, drawings, schedules, and documentation.
- Ensure the proper use of BIM software and technologies, including model management, data accuracy, and information exchange.
- Support engineering teams in design development, constructability reviews, and value engineering initiatives.
- Monitor the implementation of Level of Development (LOD) requirements throughout different project stages.
- Manage BIM data deliverables and ensure compliance with project BIM protocols.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Timely delivery of BIM models and project milestones.
- Reduction and efficient resolution of clashes and coordination issues.
- Compliance with BIM standards and client requirements.
- Team productivity and quality of BIM deliverables.
- Successful implementation and continuous improvement of BIM workflows.
RequirementsQualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- 7–10 years of experience in MEP engineering and BIM, including leadership and team management experience.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, engineering coordination, and construction methodologies.
- Extensive experience with BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and BIM collaboration platforms.
- Experience in managing large-scale multidisciplinary projects.
