A Reputable Company located in Iraq is seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant.
Main Duties:
- Collect accounting documents related to financial transactions and events.
- Manage all accounting transactions.
- Track payments to internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare budget forecasts.
- Prepare, manage, and analyze financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
- Ensure timely bank payments.
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.
- Audit financial transactions and documents.
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
- Comply with financial policies and regulations.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or any relevant field.
- 5 plus years of experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience with general ledger functions.
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English.
