Business Unit Manager - Ceramics

The Business Unit Manager for Ceramics Trading will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the ceramics trading division within our company. This includes managing the procurement and distribution of ceramics products, developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and clients, and driving business growth. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in ceramics trading, with a focus on strategic planning, market research, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategies to achieve business objectives and financial targets for the ceramics trading division
  2. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and conditions
  3. Manage the procurement process, including order placement, inventory management, and logistics
  4. Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs and develop pricing strategies
  5. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify business opportunities
  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and clients
  7. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  8. Analyze sales data and market feedback to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to increase market share
  9. Prepare regular reports and presentations on the performance of the ceramics trading division for senior management
  10. Stay updated on industry developments and technological advancements to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Minimum of 10 years of experience in ceramics trading or a related field
  2. Bachelor's degree in Business, or a related field. MBA is a plus
  3. Proven track record of successfully managing a ceramics trading division and driving business growth
  4. Proficient in the Ceramics market in Kuwait
  5. Strong negotiation and communication skills
  6. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  7. Ability to analyze market trends and identify business opportunities
  8. Proficient in using ERP systems and other relevant software
  9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  10. Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  11. Flexibility to travel as needed
