We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our five-star hotel in Bekaa, Lebanon. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our culinary department, ensuring that all food prepared meets the highest standards of quality and presentation. You will work closely with the Food and Beverage Manager to develop menus, create new dishes, and manage the kitchen staff. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent culinary skills, and strong leadership abilities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
  2. Create and update menus to meet customer preferences and seasonal availability
  3. Estimate food requirements and place orders with suppliers
  4. Supervise kitchen staff and provide guidance as needed
  5. Train and develop culinary team members
  6. Ensure that all food preparation is done in accordance with sanitation and safety regulations
  7. Monitor food production to ensure consistent quality and portion control
  8. Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager to develop new dishes and menus
  9. Stay updated on industry trends and new cooking techniques
  10. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
  2. Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends
  3. Strong leadership and management skills
  4. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  5. Creative mindset and ability to develop innovative dishes
  6. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  7. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
  8. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  9. Degree in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred
  10. Valid food safety certification
