JCYARED, a leading building materials company in Lebanon, seeks a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strategic alignment with company goals.
Responsibilities:
• Financial Reporting & Recordkeeping:
o Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) in accordance with Lebanese GAAP.
o Maintain a robust system of internal controls to safeguard financial data integrity.
o Supervise the accounting team, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and best practices.
• Financial Analysis & Planning: (Essential Function)
o Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, assess financial performance, and create accurate financial forecasts.
o Develop and maintain comprehensive budgeting models, playing a key role in the budgeting and forecasting process.
o Translate financial data into actionable insights to guide strategic business decisions and resource allocation.
• Risk Management:
o Implement strategies to mitigate financial risks, including operational risks, foreign currency fluctuations, and market volatility.
o Monitor key financial metrics to proactively identify and address potential problems.
o Ensure compliance with relevant Lebanese financial regulations and tax laws.
• Collaboration & Communication:
o Partner with the accounting department, sales, operations, and other departments to translate financial data into business context.
o Clearly communicate complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior management and stakeholders.
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with auditors and financial institutions.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
• CPA or CMA designation (highly preferred)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial accounting, with a focus on financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting in the building materials industry (or a related industry)
• Proven expertise in Microsoft Excel and advanced data manipulation techniques (essential)
• Strong understanding of Lebanese GAAP and relevant financial regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and influence others
• Strategic thinking and business acumen
