We are looking for a motivated Junior IT Systems Administrator with basic knowledge of Linux commands and administration, as well as Database Administration with a focus on Oracle and SQL.

The successful candidate will have at least one year of experience and will be responsible for supporting the smooth operation of our IT systems, including server management, patching, and database maintenance.

1. Linux Administration
- Assist in managing and maintaining Linux-based servers, under supervision, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Support routine system administration tasks such as user management, file system management, and troubleshooting.
- Learn and implement security best practices and assist in performing regular system updates and patches.
2. Database Administration
- Provide support in administering Oracle databases, including basic installation, configuration, and routine maintenance tasks.
- Assist in conducting backups and ensuring basic data integrity and availability.
- Learn to monitor basic database performance and assist in troubleshooting issues as they arise.
3. SQL Development Support
- Assist in basic SQL query development and optimization tasks, under supervision, to support application development and data analysis.
- Learn to collaborate with software developers to understand efficient database schemas and queries.
- Assist in basic database security protocols and access controls.
4. Documentation and Reporting
- Contribute to maintaining comprehensive documentation for IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Assist in generating basic reports on system performance, security vulnerabilities, and database metrics.
5. Collaboration and Support
- Work closely with other IT team members to resolve technical issues and support ongoing projects.
- Seek guidance and training from senior staff members as needed.
- Participate in basic on-call rotation for after-hours support and emergencies.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Linux system administration concepts and familiarity with common commands.
- Some exposure to Oracle database administration principles and SQL query language.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
