The work typically involves:
- Designing maintenance strategies, procedures,
schedule and methods;
- Carrying out routine scheduled maintenance
work and responding to equipment faults;
- Diagnosing breakdown problems;
- Fitting new parts and making sure equipment is
working correctly;
- Carrying out quality inspections on jobs;
- Liaising with production and stores
departments in terms for maintenance scheduling, spare parts and materials
availability;
- Arranging specialist procurement of fixtures,
fittings or components;
- Controlling maintenance tools, stores and
equipment;
- Monitoring and controlling maintenance costs;
- Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems
and repairs;
- Preparing the list of spare parts and
materials are need for maintenance on quarterly basis;
- Working to personally set any equipment, such
as programmable logic controllers (PLC), which control machinery on
factory production line;
- Writing maintenance strategies and maintenance
procedures for each machine and equipment;
- Ensuring there is continuous cover of the
machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns;
- Coordinating with the manufacturer in case of
any failure that needs manufacturer specialist involvement;
- Keeping
history record of each equipment;
Skills and Qualifications
required:
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in maintenance.
- BS of Mechanical engineering, particularly
in manufacturing is necessary for entry.
- Working
well under pressure.
- Relevant
technical knowledge
- Good
verbal and written communication skills.
- Good
maintenance management skills.
Experience, knowledge and background in the following is a great plus: - Dealing with hydraulic presses.
- Understanding of welding processes
and welding execution.
- Understanding of heat treatment and
powder coating lines operation.
