Al-Akhbar Newspaper is a renowned publication founded by Joseph Samaha in Beirut, Lebanon. Since its establishment in 1953, Al-Akhbar has evolved to become a politically and professionally distinctive newspaper in the 21st century. Politically, Al-Akhbar leans towards the left and aligns with the camp opposing hegemony, extending its coverage from the heart of the United States to the farthest reaches of the East, Africa, South America, and Europe. Professionally, Al-Akhbar relies on a group of young journalists to produce a modern daily newspaper that breaks away from traditional journalistic approaches. Role Description


This is a full-time on-site role as a Graphic Designer - Printed version at Al-Akhbar Newspaper, located in Beirut Governorate, Lebanon. As a Graphic Designer - Printed version, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing designs for the newspaper, including layout designs, illustrations, and infographics. You will work closely with the editorial team to understand the content requirements and produce high-quality designs that attract and engage readers. This role requires a strong eye for detail, creativity, and proficiency in design software.
Qualifications


Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
Experience in creating visually appealing designs, including layout designs, illustrations, and infographics
Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet deadlines
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Strong portfolio showcasing previous design projects
Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field
Proficiency in both Arabic and English languages
