Key Responsibilities:

1- Prepare, organize and execute the shipping plan based on the purchase plan to ensure efficient transport planning.
2- Receive and process approved orders; prepare Supplier PO together with the needed documentation for review and release.
3-Liaise with procurement supervisor for any suppliers' modification on initial PO, and at receipt of goods.
4- Contact service providers to negotiate best transportation rates.
5- Communicate with suppliers, service providers (shipping/ clearing agencies, insurance companies}, as necessary to ensure efficient and cost-effective processing of approved orders (PO).
6- Analyze the financial impact and recommend the optimal transportation modes, routing, product volumes or mixes, or carriers.
7- Receive and verify draft requested documents from supplier; liaise with logistics specialists / clearing agent for final validation of documents.
8- Liaise with finance unit to ensure opening of LCs, transfer of payment is done timely in settlement of the different suppliers.
9- Prepare sales invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin and landed costs for operating entities.
10- Keep abreast of current and future changes in import/export laws and procedures; tariffs and duties; licenses and restrictions.
11- Manage the handling of claims process from preparation till settlement with service providers and suppliers.
12- Ensure proper filing as per the Standard Operating Procedures of the department and follow up on contracts with shipping agencies, insurance...
13- Prepare and analyze reports on shipment logs, landed costs, contribution margins and statistics in a timely and accurate manner.
14- Prepare and assess yearly Supplier and service providers' evaluation.
