The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our cosmetics manufacturing facility. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of production processes, quality control, and team management. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Management:
o Oversee all aspects of the factory's operations, including production, quality control, and maintenance.
o Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity.
o Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
2. Team Leadership:
o Lead and mentor a diverse team of production, quality control, and maintenance staff.
o Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
o Conduct performance evaluations and recommend ongoing training and development opportunities.
3. Quality Assurance:
o Ensure that all products meet the company's quality standards and specifications.
o Implement and maintain quality control systems and procedures.
o Address and resolve any quality issues or customer complaints promptly.
4. Financial Management:
o Develop and manage the factory's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
o Monitor the financial metrics to identify areas for improvement.
o Collaborate with the finance team to prepare financial reports and forecasts.
5. Supply Chain s Inventory Management:

o Oversee the procurement of raw materials and inventory management.
o Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
o Ensure timely and accurate inventory control and reporting.
6. Health s Safety:
o Ensure a safe working environment for all employees by enforcing health and safety regulations.
o Implement and monitor safety protocols and procedures.
o Oversee regular safety audits and training sessions.
7. Sales Management:
o Manage and oversee the sales team to achieve sales growth and meet sales targets.
o Develop and implement sales strategies to expand market reach and customer base.
o Monitor sales performance and provide guidance and support to the sales team.
8. Research and Development (RsD) Management:
o Oversee the RCD department to drive innovation and product development.
o Collaborate with the RCD team to develop new products and improve existing ones.
o Ensure alignment of RCD activities with market trends and customer needs.
9. Continuous Improvement:
o Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and reduce waste.
o Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements.
o Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve overall factory performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in the cosmetics or personal care industry is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and inventory management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, financial reports, and KPIs.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Must have African experience
