Key Responsibilities
Point of Contact and Strategic Planning:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all interactions with beauty brands, ensuring strong and positive relationships.
- Build and implement distribution and demand plans at the country level to optimize market penetration and brand presence.
Marketing and Brand Management:
- Monitor and analyze sales volumes, market share trends, and competitive activities.
- Develop and execute promotional initiatives to increase brand consumption within budget parameters.
- Identify and develop business and brand-building ideas, collaborating with other business unit team members to execute plans that meet volume and profit criteria.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with the agency overseeing the digital and social media strategy for relevant brands, driving consumer engagement and brand growth.
- Coordinate product management and cost reduction projects with internal and external resources (product development, production planning, trade promotion, sales, market research, consultants, and advertising agencies).
Data Analysis and Strategic Planning:
- Analyze depletion and shipment data, comparing results to established objectives to ensure the effectiveness of marketing programs.
- Develop strategic marketing plans in line with global direction and adapted to the local market and consumer dynamics.
- Spend time in the market to gather data and identify opportunities.
- Understand the target market and consumer behavior, utilizing consumer/customer insights to build the marketing plan.
Execution and Budget Management:
- Execute brand activities flawlessly and within budget by working closely with trade marketing and commercial teams.
- Set, own, and control the marketing budget.
- Advise on brand P&L with relevant stakeholders and manage advertising and promotion budgets accordingly.
Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze brand business results and marketplace dynamics to provide ongoing marketing mix recommendations.
- Communicate frequently about opportunities and risks.
Collaboration and Market Intelligence:
- Develop trade customer strategies by working closely with commercial teams and customers.
- Spend time in the market to gather competitive intelligence and share insights with departments.
- Seek opportunities to build brand experiences and events to engage with the target audience.
- Build genuine positive relationships internally and externally with peers, cross-functional teams, suppliers, third parties, and trade partners.
Brand Integrity and Measurement:
- Ensure the brand’s guidelines are adhered to in all advertising, promotions, internal publications, and social media activities.
- Align stakeholders internally and externally behind plans to drive ownership and collaboration.
- Measure key initiatives on ROI and pre-set KPIs.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in a relevant position, preferably in the beauty industry.
- Fluent in English, French, and Arabic.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor and interpret market trends.
- Proven experience in developing and executing marketing and promotional initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships.
- Proficient in digital and social media marketing strategies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and marketing software/tools.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to adapt global strategies to local market conditions.
- Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
- Ability to travel as needed to gather market insights and build relationships
