Job Summary:

The Mechanical Design Engineer (BIM Specialist) will be responsible for developing and producing detailed mechanical drawings and designs for our gas supply systems and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will leverage their knowledge of BIM, Revit, and Navisworks to ensure precise and efficient design processes, fostering collaboration and enhancing project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed mechanical designs and drawings for gas supply systems, including pipelines, storage facilities, and distribution networks.
• Develop 3D models and 2D drawings using Revit, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and company guidelines.
• Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, calculations, and reports.
• Implement and manage the BIM framework throughout the design and development phases.
• Coordinate and integrate mechanical designs with other disciplines using Navisworks for clash detection and resolution.
• Participate in design reviews and project meetings to provide technical insights and support.
• Collaborate with construction teams to address design-related issues and provide solutions during the construction phase.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3 - 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
• Proven experience with BIM framework Revit (min. LOD 300) and Navisworks.
• ACU, ACP, PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Experience with other design and analysis software such as AutoCAD is advantageous.

Skills

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA) for 2D and 3D modeling and drafting.
• Thorough comprehension of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing procedures.
• Familiarity with engineering analysis and simulation tools (such as FEA, CFD) for the purpose of design validation.
• Capability to understand and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
