Sales Manager

Job Purpose  : The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive growth within the assigned region or market. This role involves managing a team of sales representatives, fostering strong relationships with key clients, and collaborating with other departments to ensure the effective delivery of products and services


Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy Development:
  1. Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies and plans to achieve sales targets and market share growth.
  2. Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and areas for improvement.


  • Team Management:
  1. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives, setting clear objectives and performance goals.
  2. Conduct regular training sessions and performance reviews to enhance the team's skills and productivity.


  • Customer Relationship Management:
  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and retailers.
  2. Address customer concerns and feedback promptly to ensure high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.


  • Market Analysis and Reporting:
  1. Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, market trends, and competitor activities.
  2. Prepare and present detailed sales reports and forecasts to senior management.


  • Product Management:
  1. Collaborate with marketing to ensure alignment of sales strategies with product offerings and promotions.
  2. Oversee the implementation of new product launches and ensure effective in-store execution.


  • Budget and Financial Management:
  1. Manage the sales budget, including expenses related to promotional activities, launching , and other sales-related costs.
  2. Ensure cost-effective use of resources to maximize return on investment.


  • Compliance and Standards:
  1. Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all sales activities.
  2. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to sales activities and client interactions.


  • Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales within the FMCG industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
