Job Purpose : The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive growth within the assigned region or market. This role involves managing a team of sales representatives, fostering strong relationships with key clients, and collaborating with other departments to ensure the effective delivery of products and services
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies and plans to achieve sales targets and market share growth.
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives, setting clear objectives and performance goals.
- Conduct regular training sessions and performance reviews to enhance the team's skills and productivity.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and retailers.
- Address customer concerns and feedback promptly to ensure high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
- Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, market trends, and competitor activities.
- Prepare and present detailed sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
- Collaborate with marketing to ensure alignment of sales strategies with product offerings and promotions.
- Oversee the implementation of new product launches and ensure effective in-store execution.
- Budget and Financial Management:
- Manage the sales budget, including expenses related to promotional activities, launching , and other sales-related costs.
- Ensure cost-effective use of resources to maximize return on investment.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all sales activities.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to sales activities and client interactions.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales within the FMCG industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
