ERP Front-End Support Specialist


Position Overview:


The Odoo Front-End Support Specialist plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive support to employees and users of the Odoo software system. This position requires in-depth knowledge of the Odoo ERP platform, particularly the front-end aspects, and the ability to assist users with a wide range of questions and issues related to front-end

customization, troubleshooting, and usability. The primary responsibility is to ensure prompt and effective resolution of front-end inquiries, while also providing guidance and support to help employees maximize their understanding and utilization of the Odoo ERP software.


Key Responsibilities:


1. User Support: Serve as the main point of contact for employees, providing comprehensive support and prompt resolution of front-end inquiries, issues, and requirements related to the Odoo ERP software system.


2. Issue Coordination: Collaborate with stakeholders within the organization to gather and document business requirements related to front-end customization, translate them into Odoo's functionalities and configurations, and coordinate with the appropriate teams within the Odoo company to address unresolved technical issues or complex

requirements.


3. Front-End Customization: Customize the user interface of Odoo applications according to company requirements, ensuring a visually appealing and user-friendly experience.


4. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve front-end issues reported by employees or end-users, ensuring seamless usability of Odoo applications.


5. Responsive Design: Ensure that Odoo applications are responsive and optimized for a wide range of devices and screen sizes, providing a consistent user experience across platforms.


6. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation related to front-end customization and troubleshooting activities, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.


7. Training and Knowledge Sharing: Conduct training sessions and share knowledge with employees to empower them with the necessary skills and understanding to effectively use and leverage the front-end

features of the Odoo software.


8. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest Odoo technologies, front-end frameworks, and best practices in order to continuously enhance the user experience and provide insights and recommendations for front-end enhancements or optimizations based on user feedback and evolving business needs.


Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any related field. Master’s is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience ERP experience
  • Extensive Odoo Experience: Strong working knowledge of the Odoo software system, gained through several years of hands-on experience working with Odoo in various functional areas, with a particular focus on front-end customization and support.
  • Technical Aptitude: Solid understanding of web technologies, front- end frameworks, and a solid grasp of Odoo's front-end functionalities and configurations.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve front-end issues and requirements promptly and accurately.
  • Requirement Analysis: Ability to gather and document front-end business requirements, translating them into Odoo's functionalities and configurations.
  • Relationship Management: Strong relationship-building skills to foster effective collaboration and coordination between the company and Odoo, particularly when it comes to front-end requirements and issue resolution.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Management: Proficiency in creating comprehensive and user-friendly technical documentation and contributing to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the organization.
  • Continuous Learning: Proactive attitude towards self-learning and keeping up-to-date with the latest features, updates, and best practices in the Odoo ecosystem, front-end frameworks, and web technologies.
