In this role, you will support our laboratory staff by optimizing procedures and ensuring reliable test results. Your primary focus will be on maintaining precise records, managing laboratory equipment, and adhering to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sample Handling: Collect, receive, label, and analyze samples using appropriate testing equipment.
• Testing Procedures: Design and execute tests according to standard procedures, record observations, and interpret findings.
• Data Management: Accurately document all experimental data and test results in both written and electronic formats.
• Chemical and Equipment Management: Safely organize and store chemicals and gases; clean, sterilize, and calibrate laboratory equipment.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure the laboratory environment meets all safety standards.
• Record Keeping: Maintain detailed logs and equipment records.
• Inventory Management: Order and manage laboratory supplies.
• Technical Support: Provide technical assistance as required.
• Scientific Development: Stay current with relevant scientific and technical advancements.
Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience as a lab technician with proficiency in operating laboratory equipment.
• Skills: Comfortable handling hazardous substances and knowledgeable about QHSE management systems and best practices.
• Attributes: Ability to work autonomously and under pressure, superb dexterity and hand-eye coordination, and excellent communication skills.
