Account Executive - Logistics

Purpose:
To serve as the primary point of contact between the company and a key client, acting as a liaison between the client and our supply chain team. The primary responsibility will be to ensure seamless communication with the client and effective coordination with the supply chain team to facilitate smooth operations and timely delivery of goods

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationship with the key client, serving as main point of contact for all inquiries, orders, and feedback.
- Prepare quotations following inquiry selection on timely manner to ensure client receives suggested prices with no delay
- Fill and send Order confirmation to the operations team for the order to proceed with production.
- Collaborate closely with the supply chain team to ensure accurate and timely processing of orders, and to address any potential issues or delays.
- Proactively communicate with the client to provide updates on order status, resolve any concerns, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with the internal teams to ensure that client requirements are clearly understood and executed in a timely manner.
- Prepare weekly shipping sheet to reflect orders confirmed
- Confirm details of clients (address for delivery, pallets, etc..)
- Request for rates from approved forwarders prior 2 weeks of cargo readiness and follow up closely to receive rates the soonest possible
- Negotiate suitable rates for best price and delivery to select the suitable forwarder.
- Follow up closely with operations coordinator to ensure booking and packing details along with documentations to ensure they are handled on time.
- Continuous follow up on the production process to ensure on-time delivery or to handle problems as they arise and inform the client accordingly
- Confirm invoices from finance to be sent to client.
- Follow up on collection to ensure receivables are collected on time


Job Specifications:
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Account Executive or in a similar client-facing role, preferably in the trading and logistics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal teams.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

knowledge
- Familiarity with managing clients to deliver to in different countries
- Familiarity with logistics and operations related to trading.
- Professional use of Microsoft Office for reporting and presentation purposes
