Kitchen Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY

Following all Divvy policies and procedures, the Kitchen supervisor assists the Kitchen manager in order to ensure highest standards of food quality and ‎customer satisfaction



DUTIES AND TASKS

· Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards

· Keep Kitchen crew at a high level of motivation in order to effectively delegate responsibilities to ‎team members

· Train new Kitchen crew on job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures

· Ensure that all equipment are kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs

· Store food products in compliance with safety practices (e.g. in refrigerators)

· Record inventory following FIFO inventory method

· Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area

· Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the duties of kitchen brigade

· Under the supervision of the Kitchen manager, order and follow up on kitchen supplies

· Provide objective feedback to team members on their performance and report any ‎feedback to the Kitchen manager

· Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations



JOB PROFILE

Personal skills and abilities

· Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations

· Excellent organizational skills

· Ability to supervise a team in a fast-paced work environment

· Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends



Work experience requirements

· Proven 2-3 years work experience in similar role



Education requirements

· Certification from a culinary school or degree in Hospitality Management is a plus
