The Clearing Lead plays a pivotal role in managing and coordinating the clearance of goods through customs and associated processes. This leadership position is crucial in ensuring the efficient and compliant movement of goods across international borders.


Key Responsibilities:
•Lead and oversee the clearing team, providing guidance and direction to ensure smooth operations.
•Develop and implement efficient clearing processes and strategies.
•Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other clearing agents to optimize clearing operations.
•Collaborate with the logistics and procurement teams to streamline the movement of goods and minimize transportation costs.
•Prepare and submit accurate and timely customs documentation and declarations for all shipments.
•Provide periodic reports and updates to management regarding clearing operations, compliance, and potential improvements.

Qualifications:
•Minimum 5-8 years of experience in customs clearance and international trade, preferably in the agricultural products industry.
•Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role is highly desirable.
•Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, or a related field.
•In-depth knowledge of customs laws, regulations, and procedures.
•Strong understanding of international trade and logistics processes.
•Effective communication and negotiation skills
