Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our pastry manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting quality control tests, developing new recipes, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality and consistency of our pastry products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Control:
Perform routine tests on raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Monitor and document results of laboratory tests and analyses.
2. Recipe Development:
Assist in the formulation and testing of new pastry recipes.
Collaborate with the production team to refine existing recipes for quality and efficiency.
3. Food Safety Compliance:
Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and standards.
Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
4. Data Management:
Record and analyze test results, preparing reports for management.
Maintain accurate lab records and documentation.
5. Equipment Maintenance:
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
Ensure all tools and equipment are calibrated and functioning correctly.
6. Collaboration:
Work closely with production staff to address any quality issues.
Provide training and support to staff on quality control procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
Previous experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in the food industry.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control processes.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
