Role Description

As a Group Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the finance and accounting functions of the entire group of companies. You will provide financial leadership and guidance to the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Involve in month-end and year-end closing processes, including financial statement preparation, reconciliation, and analysis.
• Review and approve journal entries, adjustments, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial performance metrics to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Mentor, coach, and develop accounting staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
• Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
• Perform any other delegated task or assignment in line with employee competencies
