DCM - Distribution Manager

Key Accountabilities


  1. Supervises and controls, on a daily basis, the distribution activities in all warehouses
  2. Ensures the timeliness of distribution and delivery of merchandise in compliance with the standardized procedures
  3. Ensures that no merchandise is received, delivered or returned unless proper documents are issued and approved by concerned staff

  1. Coordinates with the Sales Department on means to facilitate the distribution process through the discussion of problems encountered during the delivery process
  2. Prepares, on a daily basis, a report on all warehouse and distribution related transactions
  3. Prepares periodic progress reports related to all warehouse and distribution activities
  4. Monitors and coordinates with the Sales Department the transfers of merchandise among warehouse locations
  5. Supervises the chronological distribution of all stocks accordingly with the expiry dates
  6. Supervises the disposal process of all stocks marked for destruction (damaged or expired) and ensures its regularity
  7. Coordinates with the Marketing Department regarding any special offers and supervises their preparation
  8. Monitors and processes all transactions related to returned merchandise
  9. Controls the warehouses’ inventory through supervising a semi-annual and annual physical inventory count and daily cycle counts
  10. Ensures the proper organization and orderly storage of the merchandise in the warehouses
  11. Ensures that necessary safety and insurance measures are undertaken in the warehouses at all times
  12. Conducts periodic visits to the warehouses to follow-up on all warehouse related matters
  13. Ensures the implementation of the established warehousing & distribution policies and procedures
  14. Ensures the cleanness and tidiness of all warehouses
  15. Supervises the Operations staff work programs and ensures their proper execution
  16. Assumes all authorities outlined in the authorities schedule
  17. Performs any duty assigned by the management


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Business or related field


Experience,

Minimum 10 years experience in Warehousing or Logistics general functions.
