Key Account Manager

The Key Account Manager will be directly reporting to the Sales Manager and responsible for managing and growing key accounts. by developing and implementing sales strategies, negotiating contracts and maintaining strong client relationships, working closely with cross-functional teams to align on brand strategy, promotions, and product positioning to meet the demands of the competitive FMCG landscape.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Drive new business by exploring new clients and introducing new SKUs to existing ones.
• Efficiently manage a team of merchandizer across the country
• Enable implementation of Sales Excellence through territory targets in these channels
• Execute Brand guidelines and sales activations for each outlet type and have an adaptable; flexible approach depending on the Customer.
• Report on the sales and account initiatives to grow sales in each account on a weekly basis
• Build customer relationship based on trust, expertise and reliability and Reach sales targets and defined sales KPIs
• Recommend improvement in sales processes by evaluating results and competitive developments.
• Liaise with members of Senior Management in developing weekly, monthly, quarterly action plans and category plans for customers that are in line with the annual account plan and the overall company strategic plan.
• Develop a relationship with each relevant member of the trading and supply chain teams in each of the key accounts. Also build relationships with managers of key stores at a local level.
• Provide general support to management by being flexible to work additional hours and assist with overflow work from colleagues as needed to ensure that the business runs smoothly.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by communicating and collaborating with customers, suppliers, colleagues and management.
• Participate in and attend departmental and Company meetings as required.


REQUIREMENTS
• 3-5 years sales experience in Key Accounts within the FMCG sector
• Excellent verbal communication, numeric reasoning and personal organizational skills and ability to overcome objections and strong business acumen and proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and experience of operating in a fast-paced environment and resilient under pressure.
• Ability to analyze data and drive informed decision making.
• Ability to drive results by working collaboratively in a team structure
