We are looking for an experienced Insights and Planning Director(FMCG) to join our team.
The ideal candidate is someone who’s capable of managing the assigned activities and leading the below responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of the Group FMCG’s insights, planning, and forecasting capabilities, supporting integrated business planning (IBP) and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes. This role aims to enhance data-driven decision-making, optimize resource allocation, and improve performance across all FMCG markets.
- Develop, implement, and oversee the IBP and S&OP capabilities for the Group’s FMCG (including the deployment of adequate IT applications and capabilities)
- Facilitate the S&OP processes across all markets and at the Group level, driving alignment and forecast accuracy.
- Enhance metrics like On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery and shelf availability across channels and markets to improve overall service levels.
- Lead the creation of comprehensive market insights for the Group FMCG, consolidating internal and external data.
- Establish a centralized insights hub, collaborating with IT to maintain dashboards and reporting tools for data transparency and accessibility.
- Facilitate the management and development of the Group FMCG portfolio performance and strategy.
- Assist the Group FMCG’s Finance, Country General Managers, and the FMCG Leadership Team in the annual budget planning exercise.
- Collaborate with Country General Managers to refine and execute annual budget planning strategies.
- Oversee the cash conversion cycle, focusing on inventory, receivables, and payables to align with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with the Finance Director on managing accruals, provisions, and budget adherence.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination with key stakeholders from a regional and above-market perspective.
- Perform various responsibilities related to team management including hiring, setting objectives, reviewing performance, coaching, taking disciplinary actions, resolving grievances and conflicts, etc.
Qualifications
- Min. 15 years of experience in planning in the FMCG sector ideally with leading multinational or regional companies.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent. MBA is a plus.
- Preferred experience in sales, marketing and/or insights management
- Possesses high level of Analytical and exposure to planning and business intelligence systems
- Excellent command of English and Arabic. French is a plus.
